Go and Be: Spring Edition

As Easter approaches, it’s the perfect time for us to be the hands and feet of the church in our community! This spring, join us in serving, giving, and praying with our Community Care ministry as we share God’s love with our neighbors.

Many of these opportunities collaborate with our community partners, which are organizations and ministries in our area whom we support and serve with year-round. A few of these include Real Options, Cornerstone, and Frisco FASTpacs. Each of them has ongoing opportunities, so if you enjoy volunteering with them this spring, we would love to help you connect and serve with them again!

Ways to Give & Serve

Hilltown Easter Celebration

Friday, April 18
10 a.m. to Noon

Hand out lunches and help host an Easter party for families in Hilltown, located just outside Little Elm.

Easter Gift Deliveries in South Dallas

Saturday, April 19
10 a.m. to Noon

Distribute Easter gift bags to the homeless and low-income housing residents in South Dallas.

Help with Cornerstone Baptist Church’s Easter outreach event in South Dallas

Every Monday

Donate canned goods and groceries year-round to provide for our neighbors in need.

Ways to Pray

Go and Be: Pray for Each Event

  1. Pray that every Easter egg, card, grocery bag, and treat shared through Go and Be will be an opportunity to share the Gospel and shine the light of Jesus, reminding each recipient that they are deeply loved by our Lord and Savior.
  2. Pray for good weather for our outdoor outreach events, asking that nothing would stand in the way of these opportunities to share Jesus’ love.
    1. Saturday, April 12—Real Options Spring Family Fest
    2. Friday, April 18—Hilltown lunches distribution and Easter celebration
    3. Saturday, April 19—Cornerstone Community Easter Egg Hunt
  3. Pray that the families served through Real Options will have a joyful and memorable time at their Spring Family Fest. Local church partners are joining together to host this event and share the love of Jesus with these families!
  4. Pray for the Hilltown community as we serve lunches, enjoy games, and share the Gospel on Good Friday. May God strengthen our relationships in this community and use our words and actions to bring the hope and love of Christ.
  5. Pray for the Cornerstone community in South Dallas. Pray for our team and members from Global Harvest Church as we partner together to host this fun event and share the Gospel with 200+ kids!
  6. Pray for the staff and volunteers of Frisco FASTpacs, along with our teachers and school staff, as they work to finish the school year strong. Ask God to continue providing for every child in Frisco ISD who faces food insecurity.
  7. Take a moment to thank God for the dedicated staff in our schools and community partners who tirelessly serve those in need each day.
